Archiving Policy
The International Journal of Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting (IJECOMBA) is committed to the permanent preservation and accessibility of its content. To ensure the long-term security of our published research, the journal utilizes the following international archiving systems supported by the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform:
LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) The IJECOMBA utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. This system allows libraries to harvest and store the journal's content locally. In the event that the journal's website becomes unavailable, participating libraries can serve the content from their local archives, ensuring that readers continue to have access to the material without interruption.
CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) In addition to LOCKSS, IJECOMBA also supports the CLOCKSS system. This is a unique, international collaboration among leading academic libraries and publishers. The CLOCKSS system ensures that a secure and permanent archive of the journal is maintained. In the rare event that the journal ceases publication or becomes permanently unavailable ("trigger" event), the archived content will be released to the wider community under a creative commons license, guaranteeing that the scientific record remains intact and accessible.
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) IJECOMBA is also preserved in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN). This service, provided by the Public Knowledge Project, ensures that the journal's content is securely backed up. The PKP PN uses the LOCKSS software to preserve OJS journals, providing another layer of redundancy and long-term security for our content.
